The contest wants a picture that shows you in your happy place. It wasn't hard for me to think of my happy place. It was in September 2004 on that beach with my 8-month-old son and the man that I love. The first time one person I love felt sand between his toes, and the last time the other person I loved felt that same feeling.
This is also the last picture he ever took.
and I love it.
(even if I am hunched over like Quasimodo).
We were happy.
This was bliss.
