I (heart) The Joker!

So I went to see The Dark Knight this weekend. I was one of those people who waited in line to see a Batman movie...I admit it. The trailer for it was just SO good and Heath Ledger too...how could I not?

Let me tell ya, it was so worth it waiting in the longest line ever wondering how all those people are going to be able to fit in one theater, the cost of a Saturday night movie ticket (I'm so cheap), the flare in my neck injury I got from having to sit in the third row and not to mention the crazies who came out in their capes (who am I kidding, if I had of known people were dressing up I SO would have joined them, I got a Batman costume downstairs - so not kidding!). I was really excited to see Batman, even though I still hold a grudge against Adam West for being so mean...I was actually excited to see this new batman guy (I've never heard of him before, nor have I even seen Batman Begins yet!). Who the heck am I kidding? It was my mega-crush that I still have on Heath Ledger...there I said it.

Of course I started to tear up when I saw his character for the first time. His tragic death and him having a young daughter when he died reminded me so much of what Mason is going through now (Mason was 15 months old when his dad died). Something about a child losing a father...heart breaking. Not to mention he was so young and talented. Ughhh....off that topic!!

His character was AMAZING. The mannerisms were so perfect. I really didn't know what to expect going into this movie but seeing the way it was done was absolutely perfect. I really don't have much more to say about it. The story was great, the characters were awesome (especially The Joker!) and it really kept you on the edge of your seat (for the whole two and a half hours!).

One thing that really irked me though was Batman's creepy voice. Okay that HAS to go. He sounded like an old man trying to take a poop. Bad bad voice. It wasn't even the actor himself, it was when he was Batman and him trying to disguise his voice...puh-leaasee!!!

So to sum it up, Batman...so worth paying full admission price for...but Batman really needs to think about changing his creepy voice.
